Verawood
(Bulnesia sarmienti)

Verawood is related to Lignum vitae. It is hard and heavy, oily, and a beautiful shade of green. It also has a very decorative grain on the radial surface. These large cylinders would be excellent for large turnings or for sculptural uses. The pith runs through these logs.

Hawaiian Kiawe
(Prosopis pallida)

Native to the dry coastlines of Peru and Ecuador, P. pallida was introduced into Hawaii in the 19th century. The heartwood is hard and heavy with a reddish-brown color. It is fairly easy to work, is very stable in service, and takes a nice, rich finish. We have a pallet of assorted sizes of approximately quartered logs.
Weights range from 40 to 70 lbs.
$2.00 per pound.
