Mexican Granadillo

This beautiful hardwood is oftentimes sold as a substitute for Cocobolo. It is a species of Platymiscium and as such is in the same family as the Rosewoods. It is hard and heavy, stable in service, and takes a gorgeous polish.

It is hard and heavy, stable in service, and takes a gorgeous polish. These boards have been air-dried 6 years, are extremely chatoyant (lustrous) and have some lovely figuring.
