Figured Bubinga Table Slab
Guibourtia tessmannii
Called by some woodworkers African Rosewood, Bubinga is a deep, lustrous, brownish-red color with a fine, darker striping. The figure makes the wood doubly beautiful. It is very hard and heavy and takes a glassy, smooth finish. Kiln-dried.
A has some end checks and has a clear length of 126 inches. Tallied and priced accordingly.
B and C are not pictured except in the photograph of the ends of the boards, with B being the middle board and C being the bottom board. B and C have some small end checks, but nothing serious. All are consecutive slices of the same log and show the same figure as the top board.
These are some of the last of the live edged Bubinga slabs that will ever be available.
Due to CITES regulations, we can only ship this species to customers in the United States.
