African Blackwood has long been a favorite for bagpipes for several reasons, i.e. beauty, turnability, high degree of dimensional stability, and because of its oiliness it is little if at all effected by saliva. The sets we sell today were originally milled in Africa during the 2016/2017 season. Each square has a chalked number corresponding to an enclosed key which lists sizes in both metric and imperial.
